This is too much fun not to share. (Sorry, any Romney fans out there.)
Political commentary is much more fun when it includes hot guys and homoerotic subtext

inSometimes, you need a break from reading. (Although, with the variety of stories in Animal Magnetism, it may be a while.) Sometimes, you want a M/M storyline that’s fresh and original. Sometimes, you wish for a sweet, quirky romance featuring adorable guys.
Husbands the Series is for you. And it’s all on the web, so no waiting.
Season two just started, and you can catch up on Season 1 on their website.
There is also a huge geek tie-in, since co-creator Jane Espenson has written for numerous genre shows including “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Battlestar Galactica” and “Torchwood: Miracle Day.” I love it when my universes and interests overlap like that.
Seen “Husbands” already? What did you think?

My second story is out. Animal Magnetism is a M/M Romance anthology by Dreamspinner press, and my story is called “New Tides.” The theme, as the title suggests, is animals as the catalyst to bring the men together. The collection is out in paperback or as an e-book. I got my copy in the mail today and I’m really excited to read the other stories.
“New Tides” is set at an aquarium, because I wanted to do somethings a little different. I’d love to hear what you think of it!
Some story notes, with possible spoilers, after the jump.

inToday concludes the blog tour for “Thicker than Blood” with a last stop at Pants Off Reviews. And I’ve also been emailing people, Facebooking people. (And neglecting Twitter. Poor, spurned Twitter. I shall figure out what to do with you soon.)
What have I learned from the blog tour?
I can never read all the cool-sounding, exciting, hot books that are out there. And more are coming out all the time. It would be worth uploading a copy of my brain to a computer just to read the books for me. (How would that work?)
To those following the blog, thank you! I will strive to keep it entertaining, and not all about me. (Who am I kidding? Of course the blog is all about me. But I’ll try to entertain you nonetheless.)
Next week, Animal Magnetism comes out and there will be more on that. In the meantime, I leave you with Gilbert Gottfried Reading Fifty Shades of Gray (not safe for work):

inThis is day two of my “blog tour” organized by Storm Moon Press. You can find my latest guest post discussing some of the themes in “Thicker than Blood” at the Bending the Bookshelf blog.
Writing guest posts and exploring different issues associated with the story is an exciting process. The idea to the story came to me in a rush, and even though it took time to write it, I didn’t spend a lot of time analyzing the themes in it until after it was completed. My partner only read it after it was published, and found yet another theme I hadn’t considered.
With that in mind, some trivia after the jump:
06 Monday Aug 2012
Thanks to Storm Moon Press, my first short story, “Thicker than Blood” is available for sale. The story was originally submitted for an anthology of bisexual post-apocalyptic erotic romance. There were not enough entries to support an entire book, but they asked to publish my story on its own. The end result can be yours.
So this is a science fiction story with a strong erotic element. I spent a lot of time working on the world-building and trying to make the characters’ experiences real. Whether it’s David, who’s lead a sheltered life afraid people would discover he was born with illicit nanobots or Ayana who had ‘bots implanted on her skin back when it was a radical new technology, I wanted to explore the ramifications of this technology in a world where the ‘bots had already failed once. The other characters, Yan (Ayana’s partner), and James (Ayana’s brother), also have complicated relationships with the ‘bots.
This has been a fantastic and fascinating experience. Storm Moon was very responsive all through the process, getting my feedback on the cover and helping me through the editing process. The story is available in several e-book formats and at Amazon and other e-book retailers as well as from the publisher’s site.
Storm Moon Press also arranged a “blog tour” for me. This week I will be visiting three sites as a guest blogger. Today, the tour takes me to Babes in Boyland. And yes, for those who are wondering, “Thicker than Blood” does have a M/M pairing in it.
Please check my story out and let me know what you think. I’d love feedback on it!
